Jump Higher
In addition to reducing injury risk, improving performance is an essential feature of a newly introduced exercise programme. We are really pleased to be able tell you that on average the JumpPerform programme increases jump height by 10%. We implemented the programme with coach Matt Christensen and Gloster Jets over a 6 week period. Before and after the programme we assessed injury risk factors, and single leg jump height. Not only did we identify a major reduction in injury risk factors we found that on average the players were jumping 10% higher. This is demonstrated in the graph below.
Other research groups have identified other performance improvements including an increase in hamstring power and strength and a reduced asymmetry between dominant and non-dominant legs.
We are currently working with Loughborough University and the University of Gloucestershire to further research the performance improvements and the injury risk reduction which JumpPerform offers in Basketball.
